<p>There are additional 65 lessons teaching all the short vowels and   consonants.&nbsp; These are&nbsp;with letters, word parts, and words in a unique   Tracker program with three levels of participation.<br /><br />Another   exercise is On The Beat which correlates with the Tracker Program.&nbsp; This   accelerates the learning&nbsp;of consonants and short vowels using a  musical  background to pace students' recitations.&nbsp;<br /><br />There are 22   different activities including Rhythm&nbsp;Speak in march time with five   music options at different tempos to pace the student. <br /><br />Since   over half the syllable found in English words have short vowels, Basics   Express quickly and effectively prepares students for reading.&nbsp;</p>
