There are additional 65 lessons teaching all the short vowels and consonants.  These are with letters, word parts, and words in a unique Tracker program with three levels of participation.

Another exercise is On The Beat which correlates with the Tracker Program.  This accelerates the learning of consonants and short vowels using a musical background to pace students' recitations. 

There are 22 different activities including Rhythm Speak in march time with five music options at different tempos to pace the student.

Since over half the syllable found in English words have short vowels, Basics Express quickly and effectively prepares students for reading. 

Usually Basics Express is used for five and six year olds who need to begin to develop their reading and writing skills in preparation for Expressways To Reading.
 
Not only does it help new learners it also provides an excellent introduction to English for non-English speaking students as well as for those who have serious educational challenges. 

For best results 30 to 45 minute daily sessions should be continued for several weeks, or possibly months, depending upon the needs of the student. 

In Math I there are lessons teaching numbers using the Tracker programs as well as 19 additional computer programs for counting to prepare for equations, addition, subtraction, and multiplication.  Some exercise have ten music tracks from which to choose.
